Former Benue governor Chief Samuel Ortom’s (2015\u20132023) Finance and Budget Commissioner Mr. David Olofu has resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

In an announcement of his resignation, Olofu personally signed a letter to the chairman of Edikwu Ward 2 in the Apa Local Government Area, which he gave to reporters in Makurdi on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Mr David Olofu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

He served as Nigeria’s Forum of State Commissioners for Finance’s previous chairman from 2019 to 2023.<\/p>\n

Olofu stated that he decided to quit the party in order to enjoy his constitutionally guaranteed freedom of association under the Federal Republic of Nigerian Constitution.<\/p>\n
