Former Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has disclosed that while his support for the recently adopted coalition party, African Democratic Congress (ADC), was evident, his loyalty and membership in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was unquestionable.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

This follows after the African Democratic Congress (ADC)<\/a> accused members of\u00a0 APC and the federal government of hypocrisy over their surprising display of sorrow, after the demise of former President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n

The ADC said the ruling party, which had spent the last two years berating Buhari for Nigeria\u2019s challenges, was now seeking to portray itself as the chief mourner.<\/p>\n

Lamido while speaking to a group of his loyalists at an empowerment programmed hosted by Senator Mustapha Khabeeb (PDP, Jigawa South West), in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, over the weekend.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The former Jigawa state governor, and a pioneer father of the PDP, stated that the coalition of opposition parties was put together to rescue Nigerians from the misrule of the ruling All Progressives Congress in order to rebuild the country.<\/p>\n

Lamido said:\u00a0 \u201cYes, I support the coming together of the opposition under the ADC, but let it be known I will never leave the PDP. I built this house with my sweat and soul. My role now is to offer guidance and ensure Nigeria finds her way back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

He blasted the APC-led administration at both the state and federal levels for failing the people in every sphere of governance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe three PDP federal lawmakers from Jigawa are serving the people. APC lawmakers? They\u2019re serving only themselves. Let the people judge.\u201d He declared.<\/p>\n

In a symbolic gesture to signal unity among opposition parties in the state, Lamido introduced Kabiru Hussaini, the state ADC chairman to the PDP<\/a> crowd.<\/p>\n

Senator Mustapha Khabeeb, who hosted the event, also reiterated Lamido\u2019s sentiments, reminding the audience of the PDP\u2019s legacy of progress, particularly during his tenure as Jigawa state governor.<\/p>\n

He said:\u00a0 \u201cFrom 1999 to 2015, and especially under Sule Lamido, Jigawa knew what development looked like\u2014roads, schools, hospitals, real change. What do we have now? APC has brought nothing but hunger and hopelessness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCompare for yourself\u2014under PDP and Lamido, there was progress. Under APC? Na talauci kawai suka kawo (they only brought poverty),\u2019\u2019 the lawmaker said.<\/p>\n
