A middle-aged woman and mother of three named Mrs. Chidima Arinze is accused of killing two of her children in cold blood in their home in Enugu State, citing “family frustration” as the reason.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

According to police, the woman<\/a> is thought to have committed the crime inside her home, 47 Unity Road, in what they call one of the most upsetting domestic occurrences in recent memory.<\/p>\n

The woman and her three children were sitting together when the incident occurred, according to the neighbours, after her husband had apparently left for work.<\/p>\n

“The woman had three children – two girls and a boy,” a neighbour who described the woman as well known within the neighbourhood said.<\/p>\n

“So she woke up in the morning and three of them were sitting, suddenly she took up a knife and stabbed her son who is smallest of about four months to death and faced the second one, her daughter and stabbed her on the chest.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Immediately, the first child who is also a girl took to her heel and called neighbours. The woman didn’t run away. Instead before the neighbour could arrive, she had called her sister to inform her of what she did.<\/p>\n

\"UNIPORT\"<\/p>\n

“It was when the sister came that she called the police and they came took the bodies of the children and the woman away,” the neighbour who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed.<\/p>\n

The wife had been complaining, the source continued, that her husband would leave and never come back, leaving her to bear the family’s burden alone.<\/p>\n

The Enugu State Police Command<\/a> has promised the public of a thorough and detailed investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recognize the emotional gravity of this case,\u201d a senior police official said. \u201cInvestigators are examining all angles, including the psychological condition of the suspect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Trans Ekulu community remains in shock and mourning over the tragic incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are heartbroken,\u201d said a neighbour. \u201cTwo innocent children are gone, and their mother is in custody. There are no winners in this.\u201d<\/p>\n
