These demands include, among other things, a review of shift allowance that is higher, adjustments to uniform allowance, a separate salary structure for nurses, an increase in core duty allowance, mass recruitment of nurses, and the creation of a nursing department within the Federal Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n<p>The Assistant Secretary-General of NANNM said the decision was made during a virtual meeting of NANNM\u2019s National Executive Council.<\/p>\n<p>Aligwe said, \u201cThe strike has been suspended. <a href=\"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/ro\/other-news\/nurses-shun-fg-begin-strike-today\/\">Nurses and midwives<\/a> are to resume duty immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13340\" src=\"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1360\" height=\"902\" srcset=\"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses.webp 1360w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses-300x199.webp 300w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses-1024x679.webp 1024w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses-768x509.webp 768w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses-633x420.webp 633w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses-640x424.webp 640w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Nigerian-Nurses-681x452.webp 681w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1360px) 100vw, 1360px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A circular titled \u201cSuspension of the Ongoing Nationwide\u2019 Strike\u201d and signed by the association\u2019s National President, Haruna Mamman, and General Secretary, T.A. Shettima, also confirmed the development.<\/p>\n<p>The circular partly read, \u201cNEC acknowledges the positive steps taken by the Federal Government in responding to the nine core demands of NANNM, particularly the commitment to clear timelines for implementation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn view of the formal agreement reached, and in line with the principle of dialogue and good faith, NEC hereby suspends the ongoing nationwide strike action with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33434\" src=\"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/NANNM-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"638\" height=\"638\" srcset=\"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/NANNM-1.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/NANNM-1-150x150.jpeg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNEC has directed the national leadership to continue monitoring the implementation of the signed MoU and track the government\u2019s compliance with the agreed timelines.<\/p>\n<h5><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/GxfCtlAzWSMAtz92Gn6fws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span class=\"td_btn td_btn_sm td_default_btn\">Join our WhatsApp community<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>\u201cState councils are directed to mobilise members for the immediate resumption of duty.
