Lamido<\/a> made the statement during an appearance on Arise TV\u2019s Prime Time<\/em> on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

He asserted that Wike was appointed by President Tinubu for a targeted political agenda, and that once that objective is fulfilled, the former Rivers State governor will be relieved of his position.<\/p>\n

\"Lamido\"<\/p>\n

\u201cTinubu was looking for someone who will help him in his political interest,\u201d Lamido said.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole appointment of Wike was to make sure Tinubu secures the South-South.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cSo far, he has been able to get Akwa Ibom and Edo states. Wike already has Rivers State.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cBy the time Tinubu is able to secure the South-South in his own basket, Wike will become irrelevant, and he will remove him.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cHe appointed Wike for a purpose, gave him an office for a purpose; by the time the purpose is no more, that\u2019s the end of it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
