In a recent interview with Apple Music\u2019s Ebro, Tiwa Savage acknowledged her fans’ admiration but clarified that she doesn\u2019t fully embrace the title due to the weight of responsibility it carries.<\/p>\n

“Yes, they call me the Queen of Afrobeats, but there are many of us who are Queens,” Tiwa Savage\u00a0said.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cPersonally, I don\u2019t like that tag, it\u2019s uncomfortable because I feel like if I start accepting it, I need to be humble and secondly, it doesn\u2019t make sense to me. So, I don\u2019t [accept it]. But I appreciate it. It didn\u2019t come up with it. I think it\u2019s just because I was one of the first female artists in Nigeria to breakthrough. I do appreciate that. I\u2019m not taking it for granted.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
