The Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained their top spot in Group C after their final 2025 AFCON group stage matches, in which they coasted to a 3-1 victory over Uganda.<\/p>\n

Uganda started the second half on the wrong foot as halftime substitute Salim Magoola picked up a straight red card in the 56th minute. Capitalizing on the 1-man shortage, Nigeria and Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika made it 2-0 as he put the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs in the 62nd minute.<\/p>\n

Rogers Mato of Uganda was able to pull one back to make it 3-1 in the 75th minute but was still not enough to secure a point in the final Group C match.<\/p>\n
