Dr. Benibo Anabraba, the Rivers SSG, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) amid renewed crisis between the state governor and the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

This was contained in a letter that was sent to the PDP<\/a> Chairman in Ward 1 of the state’s Akuku-Toru Local Government Area on January 5, 2026.<\/p>\n

Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

According to the letter, Benibo Anabrab\u2019s decision to quit the main opposition party is \u201cpersonal\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Rivers SSG expressed appreciation for the \u201cpolitical leverage gained from the party during the period of my membership\u201d.<\/p>\n

Although the Rivers SSG did not state his next political party, it is suspected that he had joined the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.<\/p>\n
