{"id":66733,"date":"2026-06-03T08:32:01","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T07:32:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/?p=66733"},"modified":"2026-06-03T08:32:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T07:32:01","slug":"nigerias-economy-revenue-too-little-to-contain-population-presidency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/naijaeyesblog.com\/ro\/nigerias-economy-revenue-too-little-to-contain-population-presidency\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria\u2019s Economy:  revenue too little to contain population \u2013 Presidency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, claims that Nigeria\u2019s revenue is not sufficient to match the large population of the country.<\/p>\n<p>The presidential aide made this claim on Tuesday during a live appearance in an interview on Arise Television\u2019s \u2018Prime Time\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He said this while speaking on the reason why several Nigerian still struggle to see the widely proclaimed economic reforms in their daily lives.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that President Tinubu, in a speech to mark his third anniversary, said the economic reforms have helped the Nigerian economy become better.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bwala, \u201cThe population is over 230 million, but the resources we have, however, the increased revenue is not enough to match with the population and deficit in terms of infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, growth will have to be slow. It will be slow, steady and consistent.
