Former Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, who previously contested the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Jigawa State ahead of the 2023 general election, has officially resigned from the ruling party.

Sabo Mohammed Nakudu communicated his exit in a resignation letter addressed to party officials in Sundimina Ward, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, citing careful consideration as the basis for his decision. In the letter, he expressed gratitude to the APC for the opportunities afforded him during his membership and acknowledged the support of party stakeholders and supporters throughout his political career.
The resignation, which takes immediate effect from Friday, April 3, 2026, also includes his withdrawal from all party activities.

Sabo Mohammed Nakudu previously served two terms in the Federal House of Representatives (2007–2011 and 2011–2015) under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and later represented Jigawa State as a Senator from 2015 to 2019 under the APC.
Although he has not publicly confirmed his next political move, reports indicate that he will be joining the African Democratic Congress, with an official announcement expected soon.
