Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has officially commenced his second term in office.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, attended by numerous distinguished guests from both within and outside the state.
Governor Soludo arrived at the venue precisely at 11:18 a.m., accompanied by prominent figures including Vice President Kashim Shettima, as well as former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.
The event was also attended by elder statesmen like former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku and prominent traditional ruler, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
He took the oath of allegiance at exactly 11:50 and proceeded to take the oath of office, which took about five minutes.
He was accompanied by his wife, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, who stood beside her husband as he took both oaths.
He quickly proceeded to sign the oaths in the presence of the Chief Judge of the state at 11:55 am amidst applause.
The event marks the beginning of his second term in office, which terminates in 2030.
