A close family friend has finally broken the silence on the tragic death of Arise TV news anchor, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, who died under heartbreaking circumstances.
Recall that early on Monday, September 29, the gifted journalist was killed in an armed robbery incident at her home in Katampe, Abuja, according to a previous report by NaijaEyes.

Arise News confirmed the tragic news on their official social media accounts, announcing the passing of Somtochukwu Maduagwu, a model, lawyer, and talented presenter.
In an Instagram interview with investigative journalist Temilola Sobola, the family friend said that Somtochukwu died after being robbed at her home. Armed bandits broke into her apartment building, robbing residents of their goods as they went from apartment to apartment. Regretfully, despite being notified, the cops did not show up promptly.

According to the family acquaintance, Somtochukwu Maduagwu made a desperate action as a result of the terror brought on by the attack’s confusion and noise. She suffered serious injuries when she leaped through the window in an attempt to get out before the burglars arrived at her flat.
Sadly, the police arrived just after she had hit the ground. She reportedly pleaded with them to take her to the hospital right away since she was in pain, but they allegedly said their patrol car was out of petrol. She died before alternative assistance could get to her.
