Speed Darlington Challenges Burna Boy To Boxing Match, Vows To “Beat Him”

Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has thrown a boxing challenge at his music colleague, Burna Boy, daring the Grammy-winning singer to step into the ring with him.

Speaking in a recent interview with Hip TV, the Akpi crooner pledged to put down a huge sum of money if Burna Boy agreed to fight him, while boasting confidently that the “Odogwu” hitmaker stood no chance against him in a physical bout.

“I challenge Burna Boy to fight me. Me, I will drop a huge sum just to fight him. I want to fight him and will beat him. He’s all hype. He can’t beat me. Just because some people like his music doesn’t mean he can beat me. I am challenging him,” Speed Darlington said.

This latest outburst from the controversial singer comes months after a similar boxing saga involving him and fellow entertainer Portable made headlines across the country.

Portable had earlier alleged that Burna Boy gifted him N20 million after he defeated Speed Darlington in a boxing match back in April.

According to Portable, the cash gift came from Burna Boy as a reward for beating Speed Darlington, who at the time had been trolling the Grammy-winning singer with allegations that he had an illicit affair with embattled American rapper Diddy in exchange for his Grammy award.

As of the time of this report, Burna Boy is yet to respond publicly to Speed Darlington’s latest boxing challenge, and it remains unclear whether the “Love Damini” crooner will take up the offer.

Behind The Beef: Speed Darlington’s History Of Online Controversies

Speed Darlington has long built a reputation for stirring controversy on social media, frequently trading words with several Nigerian celebrities, including Burna Boy, whom he has repeatedly trolled over the years.

His running feud with Burna Boy dates back to unverified claims he made regarding the singer’s Grammy win, allegations that sparked widespread backlash and eventually led to his boxing defeat at the hands of Portable in April.

With this new challenge, many fans on social media are already speculating whether this could be another publicity stunt, a recurring pattern often associated with Speed Darlington’s online antics.
