UCL Star Nwaneri Advised to Commit to England Over Nigeria.
After a stellar performance in Arsenal’s 7-1 rout of PSV in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, Ethan Nwaneri has continued to pick up rave reviews.
The teenager was arguably the best player on the pitch and former Chelsea playmaker Joe Cole believes he should come under consideration for Thomas Tuchel’s England team.
Nwaneri qualifies to represent Nigeria and England through his Nigerian father and English mother.
While he has featured for the England youth teams, he is still eligible for Nigeria, as he has not yet played for the senior national team.
Nevertheless, Cole stated Nwaneri is already ready to make his mark for England. “For me, he is so good that he doesn’t need the U21s,” Cole told TNT Sports.
“He needs to come straight in with Thomas Tuchel, get around the England squad, and get some minutes, because he is an England player for the next 10-15 years.
“I think this boy is going to be an absolute genius. I think he is the most exciting footballer in England and maybe Europe. What he is doing is incredible,”
