Suspected Robbers Kill Retired Army General in Abuja.
Suspected armed robbers killed retired Brigadier General Uwem Udokwere early Saturday morning in Abuja. The attack occurred at his home on Sanga Street, Sunshine Homes, Lokogoma. The robbers demanded valuables before shooting him. Udokwere was taken to National Hospital Abuja, where he was pronounced dead. The FCT Police Command has launched an investigation into the incident.
Police Inspector Dies in Altercation with Naval Officers in Lagos
A police inspector died during a confrontation with naval officers in Okokomaiko, Lagos, on Saturday. The incident began when policemen stopped a motorcycle for a traffic offense. The rider and passenger, claiming to be naval personnel, resisted arrest, leading to a heated argument and subsequent altercation. The inspector collapsed and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The Lagos State Police are investigating the incident.
