Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has reportedly commenced her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in 24 hours with 150 models.
At precisely 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, the reality TV personality began the task, and celebrities and fans were there to support her.
As part of her three-day Tacha Beauty Festival, which will take place from October 10 to 12, 2025, the event started on Friday at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos.
Videos captured moments where the models were seated in preparation for the marathon session, which will see Tacha and her team carry out continuous makeup applications through the day and night.
While organisers managed the high turnout, some models were heard voicing concerns over delayed lunches.
The models are anticipated to walk the runway after getting their makeup done in the studio. Tacha gave a heartfelt homage to her late mother prior to starting the record attempt.
A poster at the venue bore the words, “Every makeover, every smile, every moment today is for you. Your legacy lives through me.” The reality star was seen kneeling in front of the banner in what appeared to be a brief prayer moment.
Her team claims that the challenge’s objective is to finish makeovers on 150 models in a single day—a feat that has never been attempted on such a scale in Nigeria.
Tacha garned popularity after competing in the 2019 Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem Season. Since then, she has developed a successful career as a businesswoman and media figure.
Celebrities including Broda Shaggi, Dabota Lawson, Hilda Baci, Samuel Banks, Nons Miraj, Liquorose, and Somadinma Anyama were present at the location as of the time this story was filed to encourage her quest to break the record.
