President Bola Tinubu on Saturday made a notable appearance at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos, where he joined residents and visitors to celebrate the ongoing Eyo Festival.

His presence added renewed excitement and importance to the cultural celebration, which had not been held since 2017.
In line with tradition, the President was clad completely in white, the symbolic colour of the festival. He complemented the outfit with a black Akete cap adorned with white stripes and star designs, while a matching black-and-white fabric was neatly draped over his shoulder.
Tinubu was warmly welcomed at the venue by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat.
The event featured colourful processions and lively displays, attracting large crowds of residents, tourists and cultural enthusiasts.
The Eyo Festival is famed for its white-robed masquerades, traditional chants and energetic dances, which showcase the rich cultural heritage and symbolism of the Yoruba people.
