President Bola Tinubu is set to take off for the United States on Tuesday amid allegations of Christian genocide in Nigeria and threats of possible military invasion from U.S. President Donald Trump.
Presidential sources claim that Tinubu will have high-level diplomatic contacts with the US government during his visit. Further information revealed that, barring any last-minute adjustments, President Trump has assigned James David Vance, his vice president, to meet with Tinubu during the visit.

The Presidency had previously announced over the weekend that both President Tinubu and Donald Trump were scheduled to meet in the coming days, to strengthen bilateral cooperation on counterterrorism and global security.

The presidential adviser, Daniel Bwala added that any apparent disagreements between the two presidents over the types of terrorist targets in Nigeria would be resolved during their next meeting.

There has been mixed reactions since US President Donald Trump revealed his intended war threat on Nigeria following the alleged Christian genocide. While some Nigerians have applauded and welcomed the development, others have strongly kicked against it.
