The private meeting takes place in the midst of ongoing political tensions amongst important stakeholders in Rivers State.
Although no formal statement was issued following the engagement, sources familiar with the matter told news men that discussions centered on state-related problems.
The source also disclosed that Governor Fubara went with Wike to his home in Guzape, Abuja, following the meeting.

The source added that during the visit, the governor made a plea to the minister and promised to treat them with respect moving ahead.
According to reports, Fubara pleaded with the minister and promised never to treat him disrespectfully again.
Recall that the ongoing conflict between the two resulted in the proclamation of a State of Emergency in Rivers State, which was lifted after six months of Fubara and the State House of Assembly resigning their seats.

This is not the first time Tinubu has brokered peace between Wike and the governor, but all past efforts have failed, leading to tension in the state.
