    Tinubu scheduled to address National Assembly Wednesday.

    President Bola Tinubu is set to address a historic joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, May 29, marking 25 years of unbroken democracy in Nigeria. The session, a first since 1999, will include presentations by notable figures like Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd).

    The clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Tambawal, announced this, adding that Tinubu will also commission the newly built National Assembly Library. The sitting will commence at 9 a.m.

    Notable attendees include Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, Governor Hope Uzodinma, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume. Former Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila will reflect on the House, while former Senate President David Mark will share insights on the Senate.
