She explained that daily bathing could potentially harm a baby’s delicate skin.

In a video shared on her social media page, the actress, who recently welcomed her first child at 40, emphasized that babies are naturally clean, noting that the womb they came from is not dirty.

She revealed that she doesn’t bathe her child every day and advised her fellow nursing mothers to wipe their babies instead of bathing them daily.

“I really think bathing babies actually causes problems. Babies are not dirty. They have been inside the womb for nine months. Inside the womb is not dirty.

“I don’t bathe my baby every day because it is not necessary. Babies are not on the floor; they are not dirty or sweaty. So, why are you excessively putting water on their skin? Their skin is fragile. You can wipe them instead of bathing them every day. This helped me, so I’m just putting it out there,” she expressed.

Toke Makinwa’s advice to nursing mothers has received a mixed reception online, with many questioning her experience in motherhood and her qualifications in nursing.
