Renowened Nigerian Chess player, Tunde Onakoyo has shared the reason behind his decision to decline a significant financial offer that could transformed his life.

As the founder of the Chess in Slums, he revealed in a post on X that he turned down the offer not because it was entirely wrong but because it did not align with his core values and wisdom.

Describing it as a difficult choice, Onakoya emphasized the importance of prioritizing integrity over financial gain.

The 30 year old stated:

“I recently turned down life changing money. Not because it was exactly wrong, but it did not align with my values or the vision of who I’m becoming.

” It was not an easy decision. I wrestled, and tried to justify saying yes, but in the end, integrity is the real wealth. I feel liberated by my decision. I can do anything now.

“Anyway, I’m forever grateful to @OgaBoxx for helping me navigate this new chaos with so much grace and wisdom.”
