The protesters, chanting solidarity songs, demanded that the National Working Committee (NWC) under Umar Damagum step down and vacate the headquarters immediately.
Abdulrahman was recently appointed Acting National Chairman of the PDP amid a deepening leadership crisis that led to the one-month suspension of the party’s National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade.
In a new development, the faction loyal to Anyanwu convened a separate meeting at a different location in Abuja, where they declared the suspension of the Damagum-led NWC.

The protesters, expressing anger over what they described as the mismanagement of party affairs by the Damagum-led leadership, vowed to regain control of the PDP secretariat on behalf of the Abdulrahman-led faction.
Security operatives have been deployed to the area to prevent a breakdown of law and order as both factions struggle for control of the party’s edifice.
Further details to be dropped later…..
