Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has received the 183 abducted persons who were rescued after spending 19 days in captivity.

Speaking while welcoming them on Thursday, the governor assured the returnees that the state government remains fully committed to their safety, rehabilitation, and the long-term security of their community.
Governor Sani revealed that the victims were successfully rescued on Wednesday through the coordinated efforts of various security agencies.

According to him, the returnees would be provided with temporary accommodation within the state, where they would undergo comprehensive medical and psychological care before returning to their community.
The governor Uba Sani assured that the government would support their livelihoods, especially through assistance for small businesses, to help them rebuild their lives.
He maintained that his administration would continue to work with relevant stakeholders, community leaders, religious bodies and security agencies to ensure lasting peace in Tudun Wali and Kaduna State at large.
