Recently, Justin Bieber created some stir when he uploaded various pictures on Instagram capturing what appear to be him and his friends spending time in a mountain home using a bong.
The Grammy winner was photographed hanging out with Australian singer Eddie Benjamin and another unknown companion, with the trio enjoying some time in what appeared to be a private recording studio.
One of the pictures shows Bieber sitting back in a chair while it seems he is taking a hit from a bong. Benjamin, meanwhile, is caught in clearly shooting the cigarette in the other and Bieber is standing beside him. The third photo found the pop star staring straight at the camera in a very casual setting wearing sweatpants and a pink beanie.
The post sparked some fan reactions, many of which centered around the bong. Some comments were fun and light: “
That’s a huge bong,” while others expressed concern about Bieber’s public image: “All I see is a couple of potheads. Always thought @justinbieber was better than that… You’re not setting a good example for your young fans.”
So far these pictures were taken during a few months of turmoil on the private and professional fronts for Bieber, as he has supposedly been having difficulties, including a tense relationship with paparazzi, public split from longtime manager Scooter Braun.
Though Bieber has yet to publicly comment on the recent revealing pictures or fan reactions, they only serve as fuel to the growing discourse concerning his current state and where he is headed.
