The United States Department of State on Friday announced a reward of up to $10m for anyone with useful information on several Iranian officials, including the country’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
The US Department of State Rewards for Justice Program, which made the offer, claimed to be looking for information about “Iranian terrorist leaders.”
This was contained in a poster released by the programme on X.

“These individuals command and direct various elements of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plans, organises and executes terrorism around the world,” the poster read.
These include the nation’s interior minister Eskandar Momeni, senior military adviser Yahya Rahim Safavi, deputy chief of staff to the supreme leader Ali Asghar Hejazi, and Iran’s intelligence minister Esmail Khatib.
Others also mentioned include Ali Larijani, who currently serves as secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council.

The banner also included several additional positions without naming specific individuals, including the secretary of the Supreme Defence Council, the head of the supreme leader’s military office, the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and an adviser to Iran’s supreme leader.
The program states that anyone having information about the officials or about senior IRGC commanders and their networks may use a communication channel on the Tor network or encrypted messaging platforms to send tips.

It further stated that those who offer reliable information may be eligible for relocation and a prize of up to $10 million.
The statement coincides with increased tensions between the United States and Iran as a result of Tehran’s recent leadership transition.
