Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate promotion of more than 2,000 workers of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

The promotions follow examinations conducted from Tuesday, November 25 to Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, stated on Wednesday that the promotions affected over 2,000 civil servants across 165 cadres
He described the promotions as a clear demonstration of the FCT Minister Wike as commitment to staff welfare and career development, assuring that promotion examinations will continue to be conducted on schedule.
The FCT Civil Service Commission chairman urged civil servants to begin early preparations for the 2025 and 2026 promotions, emphasizing that only diligent and hardworking staff will be considered.
He also reiterated that the Commission will continue to administer promotion examinations using the Computer-Based Test (CBT), noting that this will further strengthen the newly introduced digital platform for promotions, approved by the FCT Minister Wike.
