Wike’s Aide Debunks Reports Of Minister Collapsing In Abuja.
Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has debunked reports spreading online that he slumped in Abuja.
Rumors circulating on X alleged that he collapsed at an event on Friday and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for immediate treatment.
However, Olayinka denied the claim, calling it “fake”.
The false report emerges amid growing political tension in Rivers State, as the power struggle between the suspended Governor, him and Siminalayi Fubara, his former political ally.
On Friday, the crisis worsened when the former Head of Service in the state, George Nwaeke, made fresh allegations against Fubara, further intensifying the political face-off.
Regardless of the circulating rumors, his camp has maintained that the Minister remains healthy and active.
