Willie Obiano, former governor of Anambra State, has been reportedly reported dead.

Although his death has not been officially confirmed, Sahara Reporters claimed that Willie Obiano passed away in a London hospital.
However, his personal publicist, Mr. Tony Nezianya, told news outlets that he had not received any such information.
He said: “I can’t confirm to you; I’m not aware of such news.”

It was reported that Obiano served as governor of Anambra State from 2014 to 2022, succeeding Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Born on August 8, 1955, Obiano hailed from Aguleri in the Anambra East Local Government Area.
Recall that he is under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N4 billion fraud. More details to come.
