Trafficked underage girls in Ivory Coast: VDM donates N20m to repatriate, rehabilitate children, shares receipt (Video)

Nigerian activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has donated ₦20 million to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

Note that TikToker VeryDarkMan had shared a video of some underage girls, who were trafficked to Ivory Coast and being used for bedroom activities.

He visited NAPTIP after publicly calling out Abike Dabiri and pledged his support to the agency in the fight against human trafficking.

Fulfilling his promise, he shared the receipt of the ₦20 million transferred to the agency’s account from his NGO.

According to him, the money would be used to repatriate the underage children featured in his video, as well as other children trafficked to different countries.

Not stopping there, VDM also highlighted that part of the money would be allocated to the rehabilitation of the children.

In the recording, VDM also urged the federal government to put pressure on Nigeria’s immigration authorities, stressing that it would help reduce the number of children unlawfully trafficked out of the country.

The activist further noted that while NAPTIP is burdened with numerous responsibilities, it lacks the financial resources to effectively carry them out. He revealed that children are being trafficked across states for baby factories, where some are subjected to organ harvesting. Additionally, he called on the government to address the issue of children seen begging on the streets.

Recall that VDM established an NGO a few months ago to raise funds for the underprivileged. Since then, several individuals have benefited financially from his support to help solve their problems.
