Popular Nollywood actor Zubby Michael, who recently obtained the membership form of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has expressed interest in contesting for a seat in the House of Representatives representing the Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency of Anambra State.

Zubby Michael made this known on Saturday shortly after formally joining the ADC in his hometown, Ozubulu Ward 5, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
Earlier reports had indicated that the actor had aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His latest move comes at a time when several South-East celebrities are gravitating toward the ruling party to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential race.
These celebrities are also said to be spearheading the APC City Boys Movement in the region.
Zubby Michael’s decision to align with an opposition party is expected to influence political dynamics in the lead-up to the general elections, particularly in Anambra State.
