Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz and his wife, singer Zuchu, have reportedly ended their marriage.
Zuchu announced their separation in a post shared on her Instagram Story on Sunday, bringing an end to their six-year relationship.
Singer Zuchu, who is also signed to Diamond Platnumz’s record label, did not reveal the reason behind the separation but hinted that their efforts to save the marriage were unsuccessful.
“We tried, but Allah has His own plans,” she wrote.
Announcing that divorce proceedings are underway, Zuchu said she had chosen to prioritise her well-being, health and career.
“My husband and I are now separated and going through a divorce. I announce this with a heavy heart. After six years of being together, I’ve finally decided to choose myself. This is a time to heal and focus more on my health and career.”
The couple officially tied the knot in June 2025, after dating for about five years.
Reacting to the announcement, Diamond Platnumz’s former partner, socialite Zari Hasan, who previously ended her relationship with the singer over allegations of infidelity, commended Zuchu for enduring the relationship for as long as she did.
