Alhaji Mustafa Sule-Lamido, son of former Jigawa State Governor, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming governorship election.
The Returning Officer of the primary election, Mr. Isa Ahmed, announced his victory on Sunday, noting that he ran as the sole aspirant.
He explained that Alhaji Mustafa Sule-Lamido’s emergence was in line with the PDP constitution and electoral guidelines.
In his acceptance speech, Sule-Lamido expressed appreciation to the party leadership for their support.
He noted that the opportunity was not unfamiliar, recalling that he was also entrusted with a similar responsibility during the 2023 elections.
He added that they remain committed to building a campaign based on unity, hope, reform, and a shared vision for a better Jigawa State.
Alhaji Mustafa Sule-Lamido said, “Although we did not win the election then, we earned the trust of hundreds of thousands of our people and laid a strong foundation for the future.”
