Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has vowed to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Wednesday during a campaign rally for the upcoming by-election in Esan Central, Governor Monday Okpebholo praised Tinubu’s leadership, stating that Nigeria had not reached the level of development seen in countries like the United States because previous administrations lacked a leader like Tinubu.
According to Governor Monday Okpebholo, President Tinubu’s government has been able to fix the country’s economic problems, citing the recently assented tax reform bills.
He said, “I, your son, have promised President Tinubu 2.5 million votes. If Nigeria had two presidents like President Tinubu, Nigeria would be like America.
“I promise that by the grace of God, come 2027, we will deliver those votes.
“He has been able to stabilize our economy through tax reform”.
It was reported that the governor has been rooting for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, since he was inaugurated as Edo governor in November last year.
