Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has slammed Northern politicians calling on former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest in the 2027 elections, accusing them of being the same figures who forced him out of office in 2015.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Bwala added that Jonathan may also struggle to gain traction in the South his home region as several southern governors have already thrown their support behind Tinubu.,
Bwala also questioned the sincerity of northern politicians pushing Jonathan to run.
“The elements that are going to him in the North, asking him to come to run, were they not the ones that chased him away?
“So what hope does he have that this time around, they are calling him because they mean well for him?
“Then look at the political class that is coming together to cajole him to come into politics,” he said.
Jonathan, who was Nigeria’s president between 2010 and 2015, is yet to officially declare his ambition ahead of the 2027 elections.
