Miyetti Allah has urged Tinubu to apprehend Sunday Igboho for treason.

MACBAN has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to arrest and prosecute Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba nation agitator. They argued that if Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, could be arrested and prosecuted, the same should apply to Igboho. MACBAN National President, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, made the call in response to Igboho’s remarks about expunging Fulani herders from the Southwest.

Igboho, who recently returned to Nigeria after about two years of detention in Benin Republic, accused Fulani herders of killing farmers in the Southwest. However, Ngelzarma described Igboho’s remark as an unlawful comment that amounts to treason.

In a statement he signed, Ngelzarma said:

In a statement he signed, Ngelzarma called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and relevant security agencies to arrest and prosecute Sunday Igboho for his unlawful statement, which he deemed treasonous as it advocates for the actualization of Oduduwa nation. Ngelzarma emphasized that Igboho’s remarks are unlawful, and if Nnamdi Kanu is held behind bars for a similar offense, Igboho should face the same consequences.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Sunday Igboho expressed his readiness to combat banditry and other criminal elements in the South West if he receives support from traditional rulers, security agencies, and other stakeholders. In a statement personally signed and made available to PUNCH Online in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, Adeyemo stated his willingness to collaborate with them to ensure permanent peace in the region.
