Samsung is bolstering its popular A-series lineup with the launch of the Galaxy A55 and A55. These mid-range smartphones boast impressive features and enhanced security at competitive prices.
Enhanced Security with Knox Vault:
A key highlight is the inclusion of Samsung Knox Vault, a security feature previously reserved for high-end models. Knox Vault isolates sensitive data like passwords and encryption keys from the main system, offering advanced protection against both software and hardware attacks.
Display and Design:
Both phones feature stunning 6.6-inch OLED displays with vibrant colors and smooth 120Hz refresh rates for a seamless user experience. The A55 reportedly upgrades to a metal frame compared to last year’s plastic construction, offering a more premium feel (exact materials may vary depending on region).
Performance and Software Support:
The Galaxy A55 packs a newer Exynos 1480 processor for powerful performance, while the A35 utilizes the Exynos 1380 chip. Both models benefit from Samsung’s commitment to software updates, receiving four years of Android OS updates and five years of security patches.
Camera Systems:
While both phones boast 50-megapixel main sensors and 5-megapixel macro cameras, the A55 offers a slight edge with its 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and a higher resolution 32-megapixel selfie camera compared to the A35’s 8-megapixel ultrawide and 13-megapixel front camera.

Both devices come equipped with long-lasting 5000mAh batteries with 25W fast charging capabilities and support for expandable storage of up to 1TB via microSD card.
Pricing and Availability:
Samsung has announced European pricing with the A55 starting at €479 (around $524) and the A35 starting at €379 (around $415). The phones are expected to be available in various configurations with varying storage options. While the European launch is set for March 20th, details on US availability remain unconfirmed.
