Fastest Woman Alive Blazes Past Male Sprinters in Fun Race
Elaine Thompson-Herah, the reigning double Olympic sprint champion and current fastest woman alive, lived up to her title in a lighthearted competition. During the NCB Visa Tap for Gold Launch Paris 2024 campaign, Thompson-Herah faced off against Jamaican sprinting legends Julian Forte and Rasheed Broadbell in a “Lime and Spoon” game.
The race, more for fun than serious competition, saw Thompson-Herah flanked by Broadbell and Forte. However, the Olympic record holder wasted no time showcasing her blistering speed, swiftly leaving the male sprinters in her dust for a comical victory.
This playful display highlights Thompson-Herah’s unwavering competitive spirit, a characteristic that has propelled her to the top of the sprinting world. Fresh off a phenomenal comeback season in 2023, the 31-year-old Jamaican sets her sights on a historic 2024. Her goal? To defend her Olympic sprint titles for a record-breaking third consecutive time, a feat no female sprinter has ever achieved.
