Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Mr. Macaroni, has called out former senator and founder of Silverbird, Ben Murray-Bruce for his comment on social media. The comedian who is also a social media activist described Ben Murray-Bruce’s comment as “hypocrisy”.
Ben Murray-Bruce had initially taken to his X handle to laud Senate president Godswill Akpabio, stating that the later is a man of “unimpeachable good character”
He Wrote “Nigeria needs stability and men of ability, and it behoves us as a nation to tread with caution at this critical time of our national life. Institutions such as the Legislature should not be trifled with because of partisan considerations.”
Following this, Mr Macaroni, known to always speak up against corruption, exposed an old tweet dating back to 2018 where Ben Murray-Bruce had previously condemned Akpabio.
At the time, Ben Murray-Bruce had accused Akpabio of an attempt to violate the laws of the nation and went ahead to call for his visa to be revoked.
He also shared another post from 2018 where Ben Murray-Bruce called out Akpabio again, with the post, “Mr Common Sense 🙌🏾🙌🏾”
