A Nigerian lecturer was fatally stabbed in his office at UNIMAID by unknown assailants who also stole his car and other belongings.
Unknown assailants killed Dr. Kamar Abdulkadir, a lecturer in the Department of Physical Health Education at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State. Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama revealed on Twitter that Abdulkadir was attacked in his office on March 31.
The attackers stabbed him and struck him multiple times with a hammer, leaving him dead in a pool of blood. They also stole his car and other valuables. Authorities are investigating, but the Borno State Police Command and university authorities haven’t commented yet.
In other news, the Nigerian Army conducted coordinated operations in Katsina and Zamfara states, targeting terrorist enclaves.
On March 29 and 30, troops raided the hideout of notorious terrorist leader Hassan Yantagwaye in Zamfara, killing three terrorists, seizing weapons, and destroying camps. In Katsina, troops engaged terrorists in a gun battle, killing eight and confiscating weapons and stolen goods. Additionally, troops intercepted 441 wraps of suspected cannabis sativa in Ogun State. Investigations are ongoing.
