Breaking news: Bobrisky, a well-known crossdresser, has been arrested by the EFCC in Lagos.
The EFCC has arrested Bobrisky, a popular social crossdresser, for allegedly mutilating naira notes, as confirmed by the agency’s spokesman, Mr. Dele Oyewale. This arrest comes after the Nigeria Police Force stated they lacked sufficient evidence to arrest him for same-sex activities.
The Police clarified that cross-dressing isn’t illegal in Nigeria and there’s no evidence linking cross-dressers to the LGBTQ+ community. However, Nigeria has laws prohibiting same-sex marriage, imposing penalties for public displays of affection between same-sex couples, and involvement in LGBTQ+ organizations.
