Tinubu heads back to Lagos from Abuja for Eid celebrations.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return to Lagos from Abuja on Sunday ahead of Eid-el-Fitr later in the week, as confirmed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. Tinubu will observe the occasion with prayers and family.
Ngelale didn’t specify Tinubu’s return date but mentioned that he’ll continue official duties during and after the Eid-el-Fitr holidays. In other news, President Tinubu appointed Uzoma Nwagba as the Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP).
Nwagba, 36, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a first-class bachelor’s in engineering from Howard University. He previously served as COO of the Bank of Industry, focusing on micro-credit, and worked at African Capital Alliance and Microsoft.
Tinubu aims for Nwagba to leverage his finance and technology background to expand credit access, promote financial inclusion, and enhance Nigerians’ quality of life.
