On Wednesday, June 25, the All-Share Index (ASI) surged 1,466.87 points to close at 121,257.69, breaking above the 120,000 barrier for the first time, and the Nigerian stock market ended the day in positive territory.

Due to a spike in SWOOTs such International Breweries, Zenith Bank, and BUA Cement, the price has increased by 1.22% from the previous day’s close of 119,790.82.

Volume remained solid with 861.6 million shares moved, down slightly from 868.6 million in the previous session, despite a modest decline in trading activity.

Market capitalization increased from N75.5 trillion to N76.7 trillion over 22,896 deals, reflecting the positive sentiment.

DANGSUGAR and OANDO, who each had the highest daily gain of 10.00%, led the rise on the gainers’ chart.

UPL and RTBRISCOE, on the other hand, were the biggest losers, dropping 6.25% and 6.12%, respectively.

The volume chart for the day was dominated by FIDELITYBK and CAVERTON, indicating that investors continued to be interested in both stocks.
