Popular Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, better known by his stage as 2Baba, has apologised for his controversial statement that men are not built to stay sexually faithful to a single woman.
The legendary rapper and singer apologised in a video posted on his Instagram page on Tuesday, one day after he appeared on Nedu Wazobia and other hosts’ 234 Mzansi podcast.

2Baba sparked discussions on the now-viral podcast episode when he claimed that although a man may love and respect one woman, sexual exclusivity is still difficult for him due to his “natural biology.”
In the previous episode that stirred heavy criticism, 2Baba had said, “I’ll speak for myself, but a man is not built to sexually be with one woman. His heart, love, and respect can be with one woman,”
“But sexually, it is impossible for a man. An individual can decide not to go that route but I’m talking about the biology of men.
However, the 49-year-old music icon, admitted in the apology video that he poorly expressed himself and took full responsibility for the backlash.
2baba said, “I know I’m going to get cancelled… I’m going to face the consequences… I fucked up what I said”
He further expressed regret to his wife, Natasha Osawaru, and his kids, claiming that they did not deserve to be involved in the criticism over his comments.

2Baba also admitted that his remarks had offended his parents, fans, and many others who admire him.
“This is not me… I’m terribly sorry for allowing myself to get to that place. I own up to my mistakes,” he added.
