Coaching Legend Siasia Crowns Chinedu Ogbuke the Most Gifted Player
Nigerian football icon Samson Siasia has spoken out about the most talented player he ever coached during his time with the national youth teams.
Siasia, who led the U-20s to a World Cup silver medal in 2005, revealed Chinedu Ogbuke as the standout performer he witnessed. Ogbuke was part of that history-making squad.
Siasia Sings Ogbuke’s Praises
In a recent interview, Siasia didn’t hesitate to shower Ogbuke with praise. “[He’s] a magician,” Siasia exclaimed. “Even I appreciate the boy with what he does during training.”
Siasia went on to emphasize that Ogbuke’s brilliance extended beyond practice, “And to do it in a match also, I salute him.” He highlighted his unique perspective, having witnessed Ogbuke’s talent up close throughout his development: “Well, I’m the one that is telling you this because I’ve been with them. You are looking from a distance. I’m always with these people.”
Ogbuke’s Promising Career
Ogbuke’s impressive performances at the youth level earned him a call-up to the senior national team. He later embarked on a European adventure, playing for prestigious clubs like Hoffenheim and Schalke 04.
