Suspended Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Aondona Mkor, is due to be charged before the Federal High Court in Lafia on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
On June 20, 2025, Mkor was taken into custody in Makurdi, Benue state by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Makurdi Zonal Directorate, after being accused of blackmail, sextortion, and cyberbullying.
Sources claim that several female students petitioned the EFCC, alleging that Mkor had used his position to pressure young ladies into having sex while pretending to be providing them ushering positions.
Mkor was accused by the petitioners of surreptitiously filming sexual interactions and using the footage to blackmail the victims by threatening to release the recordings if they rejected more sexual advances.
