Charterhouse Lagos explains the rationale behind charging N42 million in fees for primary school pupils.

Charterhouse Lagos has responded to public outcry regarding its reported annual school fees of N42 million per primary school student and N2 million registration fee. The school denied being aware of the outrage, stating that parents interested in enrolling their children have not complained.

According to Mr. Damilola Olatunbosun, the school’s Director of Communications, Admissions, and Marketing, the fees reflect the institution’s status as a prestigious, world-class educational institution offering unparalleled value. He emphasized that many parents have shown interest in Charterhouse due to its quality education, comparable to that of renowned UK-based schools.

Olatunbosun explained that the fees cover the cost of providing top-notch facilities and academic programs, ensuring a multicultural environment that combines British education with Nigerian culture. He highlighted that despite the fees, Charterhouse offers value for money, attracting parents who prioritize quality education.

The school’s spokesperson reiterated that the fees are justified by the quality of education and facilities provided, emphasizing that education is an investment in value rather than a mere expense. He emphasized that while Charterhouse may not be the cheapest option, it offers unparalleled value for parents seeking the best education for their children.
