Okonjo-Iweala meets CBN gov, to better trade issues in Abuja

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, was hosted by Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), at the Bank’s Abuja headquarters on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

This was made public via an X post made by the apex bank on Thursday.

Titled, “Discussing Trade Matters,” it wrote, ” The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, welcomed the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on a working visit to the CBN Head Office, Abuja, on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
