The Governor Alia of Benue State, has urged Nigerians to revive their sense of patriotism and faith, describing them as vital elements in building a stronger and more united nation.

According to his media aide, Tersoo Kula, the governor made the appeal on Sunday during a Holy Mass held at the Government House Chapel in Makurdi.

Governor Alia stressed the importance of fostering nationalism, encouraging citizens to show love for their country and remain optimistic in the face of current challenges.
He also warned against actions or statements capable of threatening national unity, urging Nigerians instead to promote peace, hope, and a sense of shared responsibility.
According to Governor Alia, “Nigeria belongs to all of us. We must continue to pray for our nation, believe in her potential, and play our part in her progress. National development is a collective effort that demands unity, optimism, and hard work.”
The governor offered special prayers for the repose of the souls of departed citizens, including members of the Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives for national security, as well as for past leaders and every Nigerian working toward a better future.

He prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and protection for all citizens.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to peace, development, and moral renewal, Governor Alia pledged to continue implementing policies that enhance the welfare of Benue people and contribute to Nigeria’s overall advancement.
He further called on Nigerians of all faiths and regions to remain steadfast in their prayers for the nation’s peace, stability, and prosperity, emphasizing that collective faith and patriotic action are the true foundations of a great nation.
