President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies within the Federal Civil Service.
In a statement released by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations, the announcement was made on Monday in Abuja by Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, HCSF.

The new Permanent Secretaries include; Ibrahim Ozi (Federal Capital Territory), Ezemama Chidiebere (Imo State), Garba Usman (North Central), Mohammed Ishiyaku (North East), and Ukaire Chigbowu (South East).
According to the HCSF, the appointments were made after a strict, merit-based selection procedure carried out in line with President Tinubu’s goal of establishing quality, professionalism, and transparency in the Civil Service.

Noting that their jobs are essential to strengthening effective governance and boosting service delivery across ministries and agencies, she urged the recently appointed officials to exhibit dedication, competence, and honesty in carrying out their duties.
“The new Permanent Secretaries are expected to deploy their experience and expertise in driving the government’s reform agenda and ensuring the highest standards of performance in the public sector,” she stated.

Walson-Jack also praised President Tinubu for his unwavering support of professionalism and meritocracy in public administration, describing the appointments as an indication of his administration’s dedication to creating a bureaucracy that is both results-driven and people-oriented.
She reaffirmed that the Federal Civil Service remains focused on achieving efficiency, accountability, and innovation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
